60' Mathews 1970 Wooden Vessel
This boat was leaking heavily. We suspected this was due to worm damage. This wooden vessel had previously lived up north in fresh water. Warm southern salt water create the right environment for teredo worms to bore into unprotected wooden vessels. The vessel was hauled and worm issues dealt with. One plank was severely damaged and required replacement in addition to replacement of the worm shoe. Sea Hawk AF33 bottom paint was selected to put on the bottom which should give this wood boat up to a year and a half of protection. The entire project was completed in an 8 day window to minimize potential damage from the boat drying out.
Additional maintenance and electrical work was also done on the vessel.
